The Rensselaer County Advanced/Evaluation Course

The Rensselaer County Advanced/Evaluation Course is for individuals seeking to have the restrictions removed from their Rensselaer County-issued NYS Pistol License. This course involves classroom instruction and live fire exercises on an outdoor range. Participants are required to bring a firearm that is registered on their Pistol License and 50 rounds of ammunition. Firearms are expected to be unloaded and secured when participants arrive. All participants should be thoroughly familiar with their firearm and be prepared to demonstrate competent and safe handling practices when engaged in the live fire exercises. All sessions are taught by a Certified NRA Instructor.
Cost is $50
